Frequently Asked Questions
Can massage help with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis?
Aside from medication, surgery and physical therapy, massage may be useful in the overall management of arthritis. Massage therapy can soothe pain, relax stiff muscles, and reduce the swelling that accompanies arthritis. Massage and gentle stretching help maintain a joint's range of motion. Massage can help to relieve muscle tension associated with osteoarthritis. Massage boosts circulation to the affected joint, which decreases joint stiffness and promotes cartilage repair. Gentle massage may also help reduce swelling in rheumatoid arthritis. Massage is believed to be beneficial in several ways. Massage improves blood and lymph circulation, reduces nerve irritation and brings fresh oxygen and other nutrients to the affected tissues. Massage can be very helpful for people with ankylosing spondylitis who commonly have muscle spasm and loss of flexibility. A gentle massage on tender "hot spots" can help relieve soreness due to inflammation which will promote well being.
Can you explain more about your Home Visits? What is "Therapy 4 Carer's?" Click on here for answer
We usually go to rest homes and nursing homes in the area. We can come to your residence. The price varies on your location. Home Visits are generally reserved for people who cannot get to us especially the elderly. We do try and persuade you to try and make in to us because it is more cost effective to you. "Therapy 4 Carer's" is the time when the carer is also having treatment. Generally the person who is being looked after receives our treatment but with our programme we do a treatment for both the carer and the person they tend to. The price is per treatment. Families and relatives love the programme because a fit carer who their loved one relies on can continue giving care.

I have sciatica with low back pain. I also have neck pain? Can you work on these areas in one session? Click on here for answer
We would suggest having our 50 minute £35 treatment which will give us the proper time to address the areas and we could apply ultrasound therapy if required.
What is the best treatment you offer in regards to time and money? Click on here for answer
Definitley the 50 minutes for £35. The treatment gives you just under an hour with enough time for us to sort out your problem areas. Ultrasound therapy can be given during the session. The 20 minutes for £20 is good but you save £5 if you need to come back for a follow up treatment. Ultrasound is not given during a 20 minute £20 treatment.
